Anna at 3

This layout was done for the My Creative Scrapbook's "Lift the Design Team" challenge. I chose to lift Robbie Herring's "Jade at 3". Keeping with her birthday theme, I did mine the third birthday also! I used the oh sooo yummy "Que Sera Sera" papers by K&Company! They are soooo beautiful & very reasonably priced! The papers are all double sided- totaling 54 sheets! My scallop circle is made by Bazzill & back ground card stock was from the DCWV jewel stack. The corner decor was made with a Sizzix Sizzlets die & my Big Shot machine. I used a lot of ink with this layout -as I wanted every thing to blend. The following Distress Inks were used: Black Soot, Shabby Shutters. Peeled Paint,Broken China & Mustard Seed. The pink ink used was Adirondack Watermelon.
My bird was cut from cardboard & covered with cardstock from Que Sera Sera. I had a raw chip petal that I also covered & used as the wing! I distressed his edges with the Broken China & Black Soot ink. A jewel was added as an eye!

The flourishes are from Rusty Pickle, and letters from BasicGrey. Both were painted with Adirondack alcohol black ink. Just a tip... when painting chipboard letters with alcohol ink, place drops of ink on the brush.. it makes the process much easier & the ink does not dry up before you get to use it!

The large flower was made using layers of papers from the Que Sera Sera collection & various punches & dies. I distressed them with matching inks & added a Prima tropical flower, then attached with a brad. I alternated green & blue jewels and adhered them around the scalloped edges.

The small vine flowers were originally white. They were found in the bridal aisle of local craft store. They are in a tin & labeled "table confetti"! Check those bridal aisles! ( I always say that LOL) I inked them with alternating colors & attached with brad. The leafs attached to the floral clusters are really a decorative border from Sizzix that I have cut & inked. The scalloped mat is made with the Fiskars threading water punch.
I want to thank Robbie for her great inspiration! I had so much fun with this layout! The papers are just beautiful! Give yourself a treat & grab these up! I am looking forward to seeing your creations!
Thanks so much for stopping by!! :D
