A BABY IS A GIFT

The inspiration for this layout is the wonderful March Limited Edition kit from My Creative Scrapbook & the Sunday March 22 Sketch by Liz Qualman . The kit featured Prima "Flirty Little Secrets" papers, & Liz's sketch worked perfectly with them! The entire layout was done with the kit with exception of black card stock! I punched the edges of the pink paper with Fiskars flower border punch. I then inked the the edges with Distress Black Soot & Worn Lipstick inks.
I doubled matted the photo, using the same floral print used in layout & black cardstock. All raw edges were inked with the Worn Lipstick & Black Soot.
I made 2 size flowers. The larger flowers have a Prima Essential flower base, and layers made from the printed papers used in layout & various punches. I inked all edges with Worn Lipstick, Black Soot & Shabby Shutters & attached with a brad. I placed a drop of Lime or Fruit Punch Stickles over the brad as flower center.
The floral printed pink paper was puched with the Fiskars Sunburst punch & all edges were inked with the Black Soot ink. The small flower was made with printed papers using the small & xtra small Retro Punch. I doodled the petals & attatched with brad. The leafy swirls were made with my Sizzix Big Shot using a decorative border die. I separated the leafs & placed them around layout as a filler!
The Butterflies are Maya Road raw chip that I painted with Ranger Alcohol black ink. The small butterfly was covered with the pink printed paper using the "cover raw chipboard technique".
I inked the edges to help it blend with the base butterfly.
The lettering is Bo Bunny raw chip alpha that was inked with Ranger Alcohol ink. Nice, quick & easy.
This was a fun layout to do!! I loved the papers in this kit & the sketch made it a super easy & quick layout!! Of course the pic of my sweet little great niece Anna helped too!!
Thanks so much for taking a peek my friends! I appreciate it!!!
