LIFE'S A JOURNEY

This layout was inspired by the yummy March kit from My Creative Scrapbook & the Sunday March 15 Sketch by Liz Qualman . The kit featured My Minds Eye beautiful BellaBella papers. The softness of the papers worked wonderfully with my baby picture! The entire layout -with exception of a few brads, black card stock & liquid pearls was made using the kit! I would like to do an album of baby picture layouts of immediate family. I usually do not do themed albums, but thought that would be kinda cute! Thanks Liz for a great sketch!
I inked the background paper edges with Distress Ink Walnut Stain & Worn Lipstick. I doubled matted the photo, distressed the edges & placed on top of 2 trips of BellaBella paper that had been punched with the Fiskars Lacy Days of Summer Punch. The blue paper was distressed with the Walnut Stain & Broken China, and the brown with Walnut Stain. A border strip of rub-ons was cut into various sizes and placed randomly around edges of background paper.
I adhered lace along the one side of photo & dotted the center of punched flower paper with Ranger Liquid Pearls Petal Pink. The title work is made using Thickers Daiquiri Letters. They are chocolate brown & have a vinyl leathery texture! I cut a few butterflies from kit papers & inked them with the Distress Inks used in layout. I placed a glue dot behind them to raise the wings for dimension & added a few drops of Liquid Pearls for the butterfly trails.
I made a loop bow with some cream satin ribbon. I added a mini Retro punched flower & brad to bow center.
The flourishes were made with my Big Shot . I cut 5 of them & just placed them about to make them look as if they were flowing! I added liquid pearl droplets to highlight. The large flowers was made with various dies & a couple of punches, using scrap papers from layout. I distressed each layer with Broken China for blue, & Worn Lipstick for the pinks. Walnut Stain was used on all layers. A brad was used as flower center & to attach to layout. The small flowers was made with base paper layer, Prima cream flower & mini Retro punch center.
I really enjoyed doing this layout!
Thanks so much my friends for taking a peek!! Your sweet support is appreciated!!!
